Smart Watches and Wristbands for Health-Care Area

Short Description

Many people have to move to their work every day and don't have enough time and space to carry on their health devices with them, maybe they could lost their devices.

Health and/or wellbeing experience

The solution is to use smart watches and wristbands for health. We can find many products to exemplify this solution, and below I will describe some of the most safest, reliable and efficient products that I found in the health electronics market.

OMRON Wearable blood pressure monitor, BP8000-M model's features

  • Display: Transflective memory-in-pixel LCD.
  • Memory: Blood pressure measurement up to 100 times, Activity measurement up to 7 days, Sleep measurement up to 7 times, Event up to 100 items.
  • Transmission method: Bluetooth® low energy technology
  • Power source: 1 Lithium ion polymer rechargeable battery, with lifespan for approximately 500 cycles, 8 times/day measurements in normal temperatures of 77 °F (25 °C) when new battery fully charged.
  • Your monitor automatically measures your activities when you are wearing your monitor. The following items will be measured: Steps, Calories burned, Distance, and Aerobic steps.

Apple Watch Series 4 or later

  • High Heart Rate Notification and Low Heart Rate Notification: If a patient’s heart rate is above 120 bpm or below 40 bpm while they appear to have been inactive for 10 minutes, the user will receive a notification. Patients can adjust the threshold bpm or turn these notifications on or off. All heart rate notifications — along with date, time, and heart rate — can be viewed in the Health app on iPhone.
  • Irregular Rhythm Notification: The irregular rhythm notification occasionally checks for signs of irregular rhythms that may be suggestive of atrial fibrillation (AFib). This feature won’t detect all instances of AFib but may catch something that can provide your patients with an early indication that further evaluation may be warranted.
  • ECG App: Patients who experience symptoms such as rapid or skipped heartbeat, or receive the irregular rhythm notification, can capture an ECG and record their symptoms. This real world data can enable you to make more informed and timely decisions regarding further evaluation and care. The waveform, results, date, time, and any symptoms are recorded and can be exported from the Health app as a PDF to share with a clinician.
  • Fall Detection: When a hard fall is detected with Apple Watch Series 4 or later, an alert appears and allows the user to easily call emergency services or dismiss the alert. This feature is automatically enabled for users 55 years and older and can be turned on for anyone in the Apple Watch app on iPhone.

Importance of this devices in the holistic activities of the store:

  • At health fairs, the store can put a module with all the smart watches and wristbands for health that the store has and do free tests with half-use devices.
  • This device will be used in the store customer service module for free demonstrations to the customers.
  • This device will be used in free trials in the store physical health area.
  • This device will be used in free trials in the store beauty and health area.

EXAMPLE OF A GOOD EXPERIENCE:

  • An elderly customer visits a store, and in the customer service area he tells the technician that his "Apple Watch" no longer charges the battery.
  • The technician uses his tool to open watches, he removes the battery and checks it. He discovers that the useful life of the battery has ended and he exchanges it for a new one.
  • The client takes the opportunity to ask the technician how to install the ECG App, because he does't know how to do it.
  • The technician kindly explains how to do it and installs the application and tests it.
  • Then, the customer service lady gives the customer the note where they only charged the price of the battery. Finally she invites him to visit the company's website to post and read customer experiences and find out about other activities such as health promos and fairs.
