Health-Care workers: Training and Certification

Demonstrates to consumers that the organization attracts only the most skilled and experienced healthcare workers

Short Description

Some employees who work in retail stores help customers select and test medical devices such as nebulizers, blood glucose meters, body fat meters, thermometers, etc. The problem is that, many times they are not trained to do this job, and they are not able to answer basical questions such as: What is the device that you recommend me? What is the difference between these three devices? Is this device calibrated? Where do I buy the consumables? Some states and employers require their workers to be certified. Even when not required, certification can be a benefit when applying for a job.

Health and/or wellbeing experience

In holistic experiences, employees in charge of healthcare devices will have the following skills:

  • They will be able to use and test the health devices that the client requests: blood pressure monitor, glucometer, thermometer, body fat meter, nebulizer, etc.
  • They will be able to differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of each medical device that the client requests.
  • They will be able to provide information on the guarantees offered by the store such as: technical support, customer service, equipment calibration, etc.
  • They will be able to provide information to the customer about the sale of consumables, for example the glucometer test strips, or cup glasses for ultrasonic nebulizers.
  • They will be able to provide basic medical information supported by brochures and posters. For example: blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index, etc.

Who will train all employees or vendors of medical devices?

  • The MediaMarkt company will prepare a training manual in the health devices area, for example: Blood Pressure Manual, and Blood Glucose Manual
  • For the preparation of these manuals, the company will be use of the information provided by each one of the medical device providers and by technical support personnel.
  • The training will be done by Marketing personnel at all MediaMarkt stores.
