Short Description
With a lot of skin care products out there, people spend a lot of money them without actually knowing what their skin needs and understanding how their skin actually is. The MediaMarkt Skin Lab is a subscription service (free for customers) that lends customers a skin scanner linked to an app for tracking skin health and key characteristics. The data collected can be monetised by sharing with skincare companies for the development of new products and understanding skin properties of different demographics and ethnicities.
Health and/or wellbeing experience
Users of the service get to see the changes of their skin over time with respect to seasons, diets, lifestyles (all recorded in the app). They receive care recommendations and also medical attention alarms if some disease is noted.
