LightBox cabins that simulate natural light for better psychological well-being
Short Description
In the northern hemisphere winters are long and daylight is very little. Many people suffer from winter depression and other illnesses owing to lack of natural light. LightBox is a cabin that generates/simulates natural light using OLEDs/LEDs and combines it with natural sounds to mimic a summer/spring environment in cold and dark winter days. MediaMarkt customers can make themselves comfy in such cabins and 'soak' in the bright atmosphere. Done regularly, this will have an effect on their emotional and psychological well-being and improve their moods.
Health and/or wellbeing experience
The cabins can be designed and furnished according to the preferences of the market: cosy Nordic style or something chic and modern. This is the entry level visual component. Customers make themselves comfortable by either lying on ground (laid-on turf/stone/sand) or on lounge chairs. Using a remote control or an app, they can choose between seasons and moods which then would be created in the cabin with the OLEDs/LEDs.
