The "Me..." spaces & experience in the healthcare store of the future in MediaMarkt.
Short Description
This is a holistic proposal for a new type of healthcare store for MediaMarkt, which includes branding of the healthcare store, store content, store layout and product display. A new type of "Me..." spaces is added to the store. Customers are welcome to get first-hand experience of healthcare products and healthcare advices in these "Me..." spaces. In addition, these "Me..." spaces are a flexible system which can be deployed and undeployed easily and can be realized in the 800 MediaMarkt stores. Health and/or wellbeing experience
Come to Me...
Come to Me...diaMarkt for a wide range of healthcare products and experience for yourself the use of these products in specially-designed "Me..." spaces.
In these "Me..." spaces, one can experience for himself / herself the use of many healthcare products, listen to health advices from specially-trained shop assistants, listen to the pre-recorded user experience of healthcare products, relax, test out light therapy, etc.
A "Me..." pod of diameter of approximately 2 meters is installed in the "Me..." spaces to facilitate all these experiences. In order to create the "Me..." spaces, approximately 50% of the existing merchandize shelves will have to be taken out to make space for the "Me..." spaces.
However, this is thought to be feasible, as it is observed that online shopping is taking over real store shopping for products, and online-store-to-home product delivery is becoming the norm of shopping nowadays. With 50% product ( quantity, not type ) taken out from the real store, many "Me..." spaces can be created to offer experience to the customers.
The "Me..." pod is designed with the flexibility of being opened or fully enclosed by the sliding partitions of various opacities to facilitate different types of user experiences. It is observed that for customers of certain cultural and ethnical background, personal health can be a sensitive issue. As such, they may feel more comfortable sharing with the shop assistants their health issues in an enclosed space rather than in the open space. The "Me..." pod is designed to offer such flexibilities.
The "Me..." spaces also offer the customers an easier way to identify their preferred healthcare products, as they have their own merchandize display shelves where only selected products are displayed. Of course, they can always browse for the complete range of healthcare products by strolling along the typical merchandize aisle. The shop assistants can render their assistance to the customers both in the "Me..." spaces and the merchandize aisle.
