my visit to Media Markt store with family

Short Description

3 Dec, 2025 I go to the Media Markt store for purchasing and relaxing with my family. This store has an entrance with an extremely big hall. There is a passage way right in the middle of the hall which leads to the back door. Display racks carrying different goods are arranged on both the sides of this passage way. The expensive smaller goods are kept at adult’s eye level. Items meant to appeal to kids, are kept at their eyelevel. Fast moving products are kept at end caps of the racks. This is the health and well being section of the store. The entire area is neat and clean with dustbins kept at strategic locations and automatic floors cleaners working in the empty areas. The entire area is decorated with red and blue colors, at strategic locations, with a beautiful and eye catching combination. The racks are painted white with the blue edges. The walls and ceiling are painted white, with various decoration and store name/logo at some places. The lighting is chosen which makes every product look bright and colorful. The store plays low volume, light soft instrumental music all the time. Right now it is playing a composition by Beethowon. We feel very relaxed, curious and happy, specially my daughter. She is happily pointing at things and keeps asking questions. She wants to look at every colorful item- and trust me she does. Each product on the rack has an electronic display which indicates its name, use, price, and runs a continuous video of how the product is used. There are entry way displays and free standing displays at various locations. The walls have large continuously running video displays which tell customers how to use different products with subtitles. This way the store offers free information and guidance service about their products. The store accepts many forms of payment and offers attractive financial packages for buying goods at attractive rates- excellent service. Each rack carries a name plate of the sub-section. The space between the racks is large so that people can comfortably look and select goods. There is a demonstration area behind each sub-section racks and in front of the wall. People can look at goods and talk to the sales persons standing there. Each sales person is an expert in goods being sold in his/her subsection. People can actually engage to work with the goods here and learn the correct way to use them. The first sub section is Fitness Equipment. This place is full of activity with people looking at different fitness equipment kept in the racks. The end cap of the racks carry fast moving items like fitness trackers, activity monitors, massagers etc. Bigger equipments are installed in the demonstration area, behind the racks, like bicycle, virtual mirrors, treadmills etc. This section sells: virtual fitness trainer, virtual mirror-smart mirrors, upright bicycle, smart elevation treadmill (support a variety of exercises on a single machine: walking, jogging, running, sprinting, and even simulated hiking if you have a machine that can incline), smart strength training machines, climber, total body arc trainer, lower body arc trainer, recumbent exercise bike, exercise bike , elliptical cross trainer, smart treadmill, full body exerciser-complete gym in 1.5 sq. Meter, electronic skipping rope, electronic counting pushup, rowing machine etc. We try out the portable full body exerciser. We will buy it later, after discussions, as we need to exercise on daily basis. The racks of the next sub-section carry Nutrition and Cooking solutions, items. Store stocks and sells nutrients from all around the world. They sell nutrients which are needed for every age group. They have recently introduced nutrient chocolates, for kids, in the racks. My daughter picks up a couple of them from racks as they are kept at her eye level. I pay for them from my mobile app. Nutrients for grownups are kept at a higher level in the rack at adult’s eye level (for them to see the packaging directly). Here the store also sells healthy cooking devices like: coffee/tea makers, electric cookers, rice cookers, toasters, ovens, sandwich makers, grillers, induction rages/cookers etc. Certain items, which are specially made to be used along with the cooking equipment, are displayed here. The store offers them as a complete solution to its customers. We move to next racks, the Beauty Care sub-section, which has electronic beauty care products from around the world. We find racks carrying beauty electric shavers, facial Exfoliator, electronic blackhead removal device, hair dryer, hair iron, scalp beauty salon, Kuru Kuru dryer, face washing beauty machine, steamer, face roller for beauty purposes (MTG REFA carat) , beauty salon for eyes, Hadakurie hot and cool, eyelash curlers, Lip Crie for lips, beauty eye care for eye bags, hot and cold plate, light beauty salon machine, nail care devices, nail printing devices, steam foot spa, hair removal machines, Felie for face, cool warm positive negative ion skin care beauty machine, face and body massagers, heated roller massagers, hand held laser skin removal devices, smart beauty mirror, mini fridges for beauty products, ultrasonic electric facial cleaning machine, pedicure electronic foot file etc. This store also sells world’s first smart beauty mirrors. This device is a mirror with electronics. It is a device that provides an assessment and analysis of a user’s skin condition, including wrinkles, fine lines, complexion, dark circles, spots and pores, and recommends customized skincare routines to help the individual achieve his / her skin goals. Additionally, the mirror features led makeup lighting with five different environment settings and increased memory to accommodate more users and personal beauty tracking. We find many women looking and analyzing their face in front of it. My wife too gets hooked on to this device. She spends nearly 15 minutes in front it make faces (some were funny too). My wife finds a cheap hand held laser hair remover device kept in a rack, at her eye level, and immediately picks it up. She is extremely happy and goes to the sales person in the back for a demonstration and learning. She is overjoyed and immediately starts calling her friends. For nearly half an hour she tells them about the place, products and her best finds- Laser hair removal device and the Smart Mirror. This is her “wow” moment”. It seems to be her day, today. Her friends too, will be coming shortly to the store to buy it. They tell us to wait for them in the store. I make the payment from my mobile app. And we move forward. Meanwhile, my daughter is happily munching on her nutritious chocolate and looking at all the colors and displays all around. Now we go to the Air and Water Treatment sub section. Here we find larger items like air purifiers, air conditioners, HEPA air purifiers, air cleaners, air ionizers, air humidifier and dehumidifier, air-filteration/disinfection devices etc. Bigger items are installed on large standing displays. Each device has its details and price indicated below it. Some bigger items, like water purifiers etc., are kept on table with free standing banners next to them. The banners indicate their name, features and prices. For water treatment they offer : UV water purifiers, water heater and cooler, ice cube making machines, electric automatic water purifier, RO water purifier, RO+UV water purifier etc We reach Baby Care sub-section and find self cleaning water bottle, IR-thermometer, electronic swing, nasal aspirator, electronic baby scale, electronic baby prams, strollers, and bassinets, walkers, automatic baby cradles, breast pumps, baby monitor, baby cam, nanny cam, electric baby nail trimmer, electronic baby toys like walking toys, talking toys, lighted toys, electronic toy robots etc., kept on racks. My daughter picks up a walking and talking doll which is kept at her eye level, and starts playing with it. She finds it so cute and loveable, that she hugs it and doesn’t let go. This is her “wow moment”. I make the payment for the doll and we move on. Now I am carrying my daughter and she is carrying her doll. Next we come to the racks of Elderly Care sub-section. This section has air pressure massagers, fall detection watches, robots which talk to the elderly, AI enabled robotic pets, AI enabled toilet seats, emergency call system using smart watches, electronic walking sticks, electric wheel chair etc. Here display racks carry smaller goods and the larger and heavier goods are kept on the floor. I can see some elders taking a joyride on electric wheel chairs. In the next racks, which belong to Health Devices sub-section, we find a group looking at some product. We go there and find that it a completely new non invasive glucometer. These racks contain health devices and this is heath devices sub-section. I immediately buy one for my parents and call them. It is their “wow moment”, no more pricks of needles for blood sugar testing, for them. These racks carry the best health devices from around the world like: weighing scales, vibrators, body fat analyzer, massagers, BP monitor, thermometer, IR-thermometer, steamer, Pulse-Oximeter, nebulizer, calf and leg massager, weighing scale, blood sugar monitor (both invasive-prick required, and non invasive- no blood required), steamers, self cleaning water bottle, wearable health monitors (like wrist band, smart watch), far-UVC lights etc. Now, we visit to Dental Care Solutions, sub section. Here the racks carry electric tooth brush, smart tooth brush, electric water floss, teeth whitener, intra oral camera etc. --------continued as below---------

------continued from above----- Overall, I find that the maximum customers are at locations where absolutely new items are kept. Everyone is curious and asking questions to the sales person. Every one of them wants to try out the new items.

At the end of the long passage way, we come to a door which leads to an open area, which has a cafeteria and kids playing area. The customer walks the length of store, passing a wealth of tempting goods and comes here to relax. Media Markt complementary/provides free coffee/snacks coupon to its buyers. Another way of providing excellent service and displaying gratitude to its customers. This area has a lot of greenery and green color which helps a customer, relax. Chairs and tables are neatly arranged for people to sit eat/drink and talk. Kids play in the slides swings, etc. and ride in a small train. There are a few large TV screens here, which run kid’s cartoons or sports program or songs (muted) the whole day.

We order coffee and wait for the friends to come. I am sure when they come they will be happy too. They will have their “wow moments”, when they find new products which they desperately need and have been looking for them for a while, or may be a something totally new.

Media Markt provides these “wow moments’, hence we love them. It satisfying and nice to see - overjoyed, chuckling kid and wife, and happy parents. I am silently happy and satisfied. Their happy faces, is my silent “wow moment”.

Media Markt makes it happen, always. That’s why we trust them and come here, instead of ordering online. You never know, what you will find here. Items are always being added and changed.

The best service is provided by the staff of Media Markt. All the personnel are highly attentive and helpful. They do not get irritated by repeated questions of customers and are extremely soft spoken. And the advice they provide is extremely helpful in choosing the products. I saw a staff helping an elderly person load goods in her car outside. Nothing is better than this human touch. This is the kind of service, mental satisfaction that we expect from the store.

HEALTH AND WELL BEING EXPERIENCE

Our health and well being experience started when we entered into a smell free, colorful, fresh, neat and clean environment of the store, containing fresh air.

We forget all our worries, tensions and enjoy the soft music. The lighting is bright and strategically located so that we don’t have to stress our eyes looking at fine prints on the labels. It made packaging look brighter with colors.

The red color gives us a sense of urgency, carefulness and the blue color indicates that we can trust the store and its products. The green colors outside helps us relax.

The large displays with videos help us understand products and their uses. We gain knowledge about different products.

They sell everything which we may need to live our lives comfortably. They offer us new solutions, which normally takes years to come to other stores.

They provide us with the equipment to motivate and keep ourselves healthy, they offer nutrients and supplement to keep us healthy and increase our immunity. We use their cooking solutions to prepare healthy food.

They offer products which keep our babies and kids happy and healthy.

Our elders feel happy when they find that the solutions to their problem are available here.

We can have healthy, fresh and clean air and water by using their devices.

Our teeth can always shine and be healthy because of their products.

The store runs a free online service – an online club where its customers interact with each other and learn/discuss things. The store always invites and encourages non customers to join this club. We make a lot of new friends this way. This is also a mentally satisfying and makes us happy.

The store offers us happiness and health when we go there, and continues to offer health and happiness for a long time, when we use their products later.

No philosophy here, just a practical approach.
