At times picking up products in racks can be a problem for consumers .Some times when they pick up and choose not to buy they tend to place in easiest possible position in rack which leads the racks to be out of order. At times it is difficult to pick up products hard to reach position in the rack. Its a common experience that you could see products being dropped down onto the shop floor during the consumer pick up maneuvers. For elderly and physically challenged picking up items could be a problem. what if you have robotic arms either mounted on shopping carts or on racks that can pick up items for you? what if there are miniature elevators on racks with conveyor system that can pick up the product and bring it down to the proximity of user? what if such a system can be self organizing so that if a consumer chooses not purchase, the system can place it back on rack?
