Your space - in our place (Up-dated: Home Zones)
Health and wellbeing tech is about lifestyle. Imagine and aspire to yours in store.
Short Description
This is tech retail meets IKEA store theater. An area of your store is made to look like enclosed parts of a home - whether a living room, a garage (home gym) or even a bathroom or bedroom (all relevant tech is displayed inside each area). Larger stores could contain an entire house layout. This is most relevant and useful for many reasons: 1. You can see and imagine this tech in your home and the lifestyle improvements that would come with purchase. 2. You can interact with it and think to yourself 'I am inspired - I really want this', 'would I really use it?' to 'Do I really have space!' 3. You can see it fit in (physically and practically) - if you are thinking of putting an exercise bike in your bedroom - would it work? 4. You can 'see yourself' using it - from smart digital scales in the bathroom, an exercise bike in a living room to a SAD lamp in the bedroom. Customers will appreciate this space and experience as it not only inspires and informs - but the physical store format helps them imagine small and large items in their life and home. Of course - they may choose to simply look and return to your online store to purchase large items for delivery.
Health and/or wellbeing experience
Health and well being technology is about you and self improvement. It is slightly different to visual or audio goods which are about entertainment or function where you immerse 'in' technology. Health and well being is about yourself; your health but also the lifestyle that goes with a stronger, fitter, better sleeping, lighter, healthier you. It is where tech and digital meet our physical world and living environments/homes. So placing this technology in customers 'homes' and helping them imagine is of high value.
Target group
Professionals and couples with young families. They are in settling down mode and their home space is more important to them. This meets the greater reliance we now face as your home must work hard: somewhere to live, be entertained, work and play. UP-DATE: I have added files to show how these zones would look and work from a store perspective and added notes on how this should make customers feel.
