I have been hearing of more and more people I know getting a pet to keep them company during the social isolation stress of COVID. Given the lifetime of common pets (e.g. 15 years average for cats), and the trend of pet parents (especially those without human children at home) spending more on their pets' wellness and comfort, I think that Mediamarkt's planned improvements in its wellness offerings will be incomplete unless products and services for pet wellness are also included.
