When MediaMarkt customers sign up for their free Loyalty Club membership in their local Media Markt store or online or through a special MediaMarkt Club App, they will be presented with an option to choose wellness-related rewards. They can opt into a program that earns them extra rewards when they participate in wellness activities and member-only experiences. In a manner of speaking, **seeking wellness will have extra payoffs** and prizes for MediaMarkt loyalty club members.

Health and/or wellbeing experience

Wellness activities and experiences can be quite unique, and sometimes what "money cannot buy." They can be delivered in store, at special reserved locations e.g. a hothouse yoga studio, or through the internet e.g. a healthy cooking class. They can be coordinated at the level of individual stores, e.g. involving local practitioners of holistic health, or they can be wider campaigns at the regional or national levels.

Plus more possibilities like:

  • Once or twice a year, special discount on purchase of wellness related product. This can also be a birthday month discount and it ties in nicely with the birthday wishes for a healthy and happy life.
  • Extension of the regular returns period to 35 or 40 days. This makes sense during COVID because many people now wait 3-10 days before opening the parcel to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Free or discounted shipping. For example, discounted expedited shipping on wellness products.
  • Special technical support hotline/videocall to help resolve issues with wellness products purchased at MediaMarkt.
  • Extension of the manufacturer warranty on certain wellness products, e.g. a fitness tracker with 1 year manufacturer warranty will receive 1 extra year of free warranty coverage if the purchase is made by a verified MediaMarkt Club member.
  • MediaMarkt Club is like a potential large buying pool. So, Club members who commit to buying products might be able to qualify for greater discounts if they prepay (reserve the product by prepaying, sometimes before the product launches on the market).
  • Wellness digital products, apps creators, gaming platforms, e-learning lecturers, magazine publishers, etc can offer specially-negotiated highly-discounted sales and subscriptions to MediaMarkt Club members. E.g. this is possible through a special members-only section of the MediaMarkt website, or through targeted offers via emailed receipts, or limited-time offers printed on store receipts, etc. (Extra - MediaMarkt will receive sales commissions from the sellers, creating an extra revenue stream for MediaMarkt)
