Short Description
A wonderful hook for customers to come into the store would be to Make their own nutritionally-good beverage, whether that be a coffee, a juice, smoothie etc from a wide choice of ingredient options at the "Drink to your health" bar. (The idea can also be extended to a bar or vending machines that sell healthy snacks or trial-size packs to the customers in store).
Health and/or wellbeing experience
This can be fully automated bar (e.g. robotic beverage makers) or it can be staffed in-person or remotely by a nutritional advisor.
Customers can use their smartphones to connect to the bar ordering interface (e.g. via Bluetooth or NFC) and drag-and-drop to create their own combinations, or simply pick from recommended combinations.
They can enjoy their beverage while they shop or watch demos in the store. If they make a purchase exceeding a certain threshold, e.g. above Euro 100, during the same store visit then the cost of the beverage is refunded back to their payment method.
The idea can also be extended to a bar or vending machines that sell healthy snacks or trial-size packs to the customers in store. This opens up possibilities for Mediamarkt to partner with other food/snack/etc brands, too and help them reach new customers.
